Its been a while since I posted and it has been a long dry summer for me. Inflationary pressures up, work hours down, major plumbing repairs, daughter had to be rescued from out of state moves in then moves out and had to dump major money into signing up for diplomat program at work to get extra letters behind name so I stand a better chance of going full time so no diving till 36 hours from now. Headed to Rhode Island where water entry are sandy beaches not boulder strewn washing machine.

Completion of CA trip
Met Mr Alias and his girl friend at the Hurst Beach just north of Cambria, CA, loaded up my equipment and we drove north to Jade Cove. The wind was blowing pretty good and I knew
that the swells would be worse then then the the predicted 2 to 3 foot height. The weather

Saturday went out to just get in the water and see how my 5 mil suit would handle the 48ish degree water. Kale my guide for tomorrow’s hunt in kelp beds (my first time in kelp), wanted me to get a hooded vest but my suit fits to tight to allow it so just got a shoulder hood. Dove in a calm bay just to get back in the water. After...

last minute dive buddy score
Time crawled by the last few days and my anxiety grew as I waited for a phone call from someone willing to take a vistor out for a hunt. I had contacted several dive shopes asking if they could hook me up with a partner. It was not till 36 hours befor my plane trip I finally got a call from Dale via Chuck from depth perceptions. I would really appreciate all he did as a matter of fact he is the only one who actually gave me that warm fuzzy feeling...
