As yet I haven't booked any courses as I don't have enough money. But I am going to get Umberto Pelizzari's Free Diving Manual and practice breath holding on dry land. I'm not too sure which course I will doing with who. Could you suggest any in particular in the UK or abroad?

Hi Stuart

I will be beginning my studies at Bangor this September, I'm a better monofin swimmer than breath holder, I can only hold my breath whilst moving for 20 seconds, and the reason for that is to do with my lack of training both in efficiency of movement and breath holding. Static, I can hold my breath for a maximum of one minute.
Being new to Apnea, I'm trying to get on to a course and I'm also trying to pick up some books so that I can increase my understanding of the theory. I've made some contacts within free diving clubs down south where I am now and I'm hoping to go on a couple of courses over the summer, but I'm a little tight on money.
It would be cool if we could hook up when I go up to Bangor, even though I'm a low level free diver, I'm a quick learner and I enjoy it immensely, especially when I'm with other people unless I'm in a peculiar mood, which doesn't occur often.
