Re: cz monofin

They look like Special Fins. I tried to call the number shown on the website to find out it it is really so, or if it is another brand, or Czech manufacturing, but did not manage to reach them. The website is in most parts dysfunctional, so I do not know if the company really sells something. I may try to ask my brother to look at the address if there is any store (he lives just a few streets away), but I suspect that it is just a private address of the owner. I let you know if I find out.

I've seen that Cobra fin on the Polyorg website, it looks interesting.

Yes, you are right, they have it at Polyorg and it is 60€ cheaper there than at Goldenfish.cz (though, on the other hand, there are many complaints about Polyorg)

Yes, you take your life in your own hands for that 60 euro...

Re: cz monofin

OK, I received some information from the company. It has nothing to do with Czech Rep. except of having the seat of a branch there, which is virtually just a mailbox. There is no store or workshop in Prague, and no distribution either. The company is physically in Germany, the guy who answered has an English sounding name (Henry Trunk), and the fins are manufactured in Ukraine (not sure if it is Zolotov - I did not find any pictures of Zolotov monofins with a logo to compare them). And no, it is not the same German company as Polyorg, though some of their fins are listed at Polyorg too. The German mother company has a website at http://waterlook24.de, and Henry wrote Polyorg no more gets the Cobra fin. He also pointed me to the DB thread criticizing Polyorg.

So far it does not look too bad, though I'd personally prefer more transparency in the branding and about the origins of the fins. It remains to see some customer feedback about the quality, shipping, and customer support.
