collecting all data about monofins

hi folks,

with all the threads about the data about the monos i thought about posting the data in one thread. might help to make up your mind when buying a new monofin. Of course "Strokes per 25m" is very individuell, but we will see, what the minimum will be (and that will be the aim to reach in training next year )
I start with mine:

Specialfins Monofin coloured
Omer Footpockets Size 42/44
my Footlenght: 27 cm, fits perfect with 3mm socks
Stiffness hard,
Strokes per 25 m: 8
Serial No: FrD 311
Angle: about 20 degrees
short commend: Like it very much, easy to wear for houres...

Re: collecting all data about monofins

I have a similar thread going but lets see if yours has better luck. I'm currently using-
  • blade- waterway model 1 medium stiff
  • pockets- finis, large my footsize is 9 1/2 U.S.
  • no angle in pocket
  • undulations per 25m varies to what style im using- can get it low as 5 or 6 but standard is 8-9----that dyn.
  • cost me $200 us include shipping
I really love this fin and it is indestructable, can wear the openheal pockets for hours--whould like to eventually get something with angled pockets.

Re: collecting all data about monofins

monkeyhatfork,
i have seen your thread, part of the data is already in your thread, part in waterway glide vs hyperfin.
i just wanted to collect it in one thread so you can find all data easily.
especially i am interested in foot lenght and footpocketsize.
befor i ordered my fin, i tested the omer footpockets... wouldn´t have dared to order just by the size...

no worries- not concerned with it being my thread or someone elses, only want to see a successful data thread
