Re: leaderfins "advanced" ??any experience... ?

The advanced does not have the footpocket angle but is otherwise a very nice fin. I've only seen one of them and the build quality was very good with better finishing than the other model fins that I have seen from Leaderfins (5)

Re: leaderfins "advanced" ??any experience... ?

thx for the quick answer!
at the moment i see that on the page where i can buy it(germany) there is a offer to make stronger finstrap and blade protection... is this helpful or not so necessary.. ??
see here... --> AQUASPHERE Schwimm- und Wassersportshop aqua sphere - monopalme monofins waterway leaderfins kershkiv monoflossen Flossenschwimmen saverfins monopalme monofins waterway leaderfins kershkiv monoflossen Flossenschwimmen monoaletas monoaleta Monoflosse

and... must i get a fin which have a smaller footsize then reality or is it 1:1... ?
regards ,
andi

Re: leaderfins "advanced" ??any experience... ?

Leaderfins are pretty good with the foot sizing so I'd suggest 1:1 if you dont plan to use a bootie or toe sock.
The Hyper is a narrow footpocket whereas the Advanced is more traditional/older style and has a bit of room in the toe and is mainly tight around the opening to the footpocket.

Finstrap strengthening is not required (they are already very strong and the strengthening makes them less flexible.

I'm not sure what the blade protection is....if its the small rubber bits from the wing to the trailing edge on each side then get them (I always add those to my fins anyway and they save the corners from rough treatment and poor turns

hope that helps

Re: leaderfins "advanced" ??any experience... ?

one of our club members has one and I was impressed with it, it's much more comfortable that my waterway and more stable, adn good build quality

I would say that they don't feel quite as stiff as the leaderfins hyper, however I've only had one short go of each - although there's not that much in it... I'd say this is a great choice of fin really.

the leaderfins footpockets on model "sport" and "advanced" fit most people from their EUR sizes. the footpocket is softer than waterway, if I were to swim fast with one of these fins I would order the strengthened heelstrap.

For anyone who is interested, I have a Leaderfins "advanced" monofin for sale.

Used once by my girlfriend but she needs the softer blade.

Blade Stiffness: Medium
Foot Size: Medium
Strengthened footstraps
Neoprene inserts in the tops of the foot pockets
Small wings on face of blade

I am in Sydney, Australia so local buyers would be preferred but I can ship it out at your expense if you wish.

Price neg.

Call me on 0421-377-191 or email to jamesdibbs@hotmail.com if you want to know more.
