US Dealers of Monofins?

Can anyone recommend any dealers in the US that carry monofins? I've found some nice ones overseas or across the border - but when I have to pay $90-150~(!!!!) for shipping - it makes it less appetizing - any hopes for a dealer who carries stock in the US?

Thanks,
Will

Re: US Dealers of Monofins?

I rather wonder that there are no monofin manufacturers in the USA! With the exchange rate of US dollar they could sell them in Europe (or actually worldwide) cheaper than Russians and Chinese currently do.

Well, hopefully it will change soon with the Lunocet, but that's not a truly monofin and for example it won't be approved for CMAS or FFESSM freediving competitions (there must be no mechanics or moving parts on the fin).

Otherwise, Performance Freediving deals monofins in the USA, but am not sure if you really save on the shipping, because the fins are manufactured (and usually also shipped) individually.

Re: US Dealers of Monofins?

yea, it's unfortunate. I was looking at performance freediving but they want $100 in shipping- half the cost of the fin! Maybe used is the way to go - but it's probably even more unlikely I find someone in US selling one in my size..Maybe i'll just have to stick with my longblades for now..

How'd you manage that? When I try to checkout with one it says:

Quote:
($89 for first item, $0 for each additional)

Re: US Dealers of Monofins?

Dunno. Maybe they got stung on mine and adjusted it? I just checked what I paid to double check. It was $50. Mandy did recommend I buy a bag too, which I did. Maybe that was to make up the difference

Re: US Dealers of Monofins?

5 weeks from the time the order went in. PFI was in the Caymans at the time, so it took a couple days for it to get ordered.

Really? I was just in there in May and I didn't see any but maybe I was just not paying attention..I'll have to give them a shout and see what they say - thanks for the advice!
