But where do you guys practice freediving in Santa Monica area?
I potentially move there, but lack of clean beach kinda turn me off a little bit.

I do not know a place in Santa Monica. But usually for dept I go to Veterans park by a pier in Redondo ( between Redondo beach and Kings Harbor) or for fun dives Point Dume in Malibu or Leo Carillo at the end of Malibu.
I thing around Santa Monica the bottom is just sandy and very shalow. But I'm still new to the are so I'm looking for new places as well. :-) Vaclav

Usually Point Dume as well. I go with my scubadiver friend and dive-bomb him on the small "reef" (where you usally see sealions).
Never dove of the Veterans Park in Redondo ... how often do you freedive Vaclav ?
