Monterey, California

Oh, it is not too bad. I use an Xcel Polar 9/7/6mm one piece. There are local shops that rent wetsuits. May have to purchase 4mm+ booties/socks and 5mm+ gloves. Check Spearboard California section for freedivers in Monterey. I prefer Carmel and Big Sur to Monterey for visibility and sea life. November is the end of Abalone season. I will be north in Sonoma and Mendocino counties freediving in November.
