Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Jamie, I think they do sell SS shafts but they are tahitian style without the threaded end. Sorry for the mixup.

Cheers,
TJ

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Thats ok mate, but im still confused as when i asked about the shafts i said it was for the gun i just purchased and was still on the counter, which needs a threaded shaft.

I think these days it all depends on who u ask, some people just wont give you the time of day.

I will call past the shop tomorrow for you as i am working that way and see what they say in person.

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Hello.

I found a source of mamba-lookalike kits. I don't know, but maybe they are worth a look : X-Power

Cheers.

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Corsican, looks interesting. Had a rough go at google translation and it looks like the kit is designed to work with normal speargun muzzles (no changing it). Looks like you would use standard slide ring for line connection as well.

Still for me Tovarich is the go.

Cheers,
TJ

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Thanks Jamie, I read your other post. My bank is 1000km from here so I'm still in the process of setting up an online account from which I can transfer funds internationally, nearly done.

Did you get the catalogue OK?

Cheers,
TJ

Once you get the bank transfer sorted, things will get alot easier, but on the other hand your account will get smaller and smaller and smaller

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Is there anyone out there that has been able to get a Mamba kit or equivilent in the US? I have tried Dave at Spearo, Asturven in Texas, Enzo in Italy, Greekdiver in Florida, Scubazar, and X-Power. No one has replied to any of my emails!

Cousy,

I had the same problem then Ramon, who makes Tovarich and Kara-yo kits was very helpful. He's in Spain and I'm in Australia, can't imagine the USA would be a problem. His Kara-yo kit works similar to Mamba but appears to me to be better design and it's cheaper too.

Good luck!

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Onefish,

How do I contact Ramon; do you know his email address? Does he make a kit for both 13 and 11 mm barrels? Thanks.

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Cousy, just sent you a PM. Ramon makes the kits to order, you'd have to ask him but he probably makes what ever size you want. He is making mine 13x7.14mm to suit Cressi with 9/32" shafts (cheaper than 7mm).

Cheers,
TJ

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Cousy and all others looking for a Mamba set up in U.S. I too have encountered a similiar situation...I just posted a thread in same section Mamba for dummies...to analyze the mech, and hopefully manufacturer a mamba system locally, since my line or work as an ID might facilitate the process..I'm hoping with the info gathered it will be do-able

Re: Sources for Mamba kit?

Thank you, Onefish, I will need the same setup as yours. I use 9/32 shafts on all of my pneumatics with one exception; that gun has a 17/64th shaft.
