I have a Mamba 110 magnum and I finally have the rig set up the way I want, complete with mounted dive light and laser sight (I haven't field tested this yet, but it works great on an archery target in the pool).
I have a reel mounted on the gun because that is the set-up Enzo likes I suppose. My question is this: can I take the line off and just freeshaft? I know the gun is powerful and you risk bent shafts, but has anyone actually tried freeshafting with a powerful pneumatic like a mamba 110? I'd appreciate any feedback.

Yes you can freeshaft with it, just be sure to insert the slide ring with the O-ring properly on the muzzle and that's it.
If you use it with a reel, direct to the Float or without line does not change anything, it is just a matter of preferences. Cheers Ivan
