When you guys go for lobster do you use a tickle stick and a net, a lobster snare, or just go commando and grab them with your hands?

Re: Bugs

Depends on what kind of lobster. Regular Florida spinys are probably best taken with a wire snare, efficient and doesn't hurt the animal if it is too short to keep. Takes a little bit of practice.
For spotted spiny lobster (Panulirus guttatus), slam'em against the rock before you close your fingers. If you try to grab them, they are so fast that they go out between you fingers as you are closing your hands. For them, a snare or tickle stick is useless and a gig nearly so.
For the various species of slipper lobster, just grab them, they are very slow.
