California Abalone Opportunity

Mark your calendars!

The DFG is bringing the abalone discussion to San Diego!

They'll be talking about the California Abalone Association's proposal to open San Miguel Island and the Farallon Islands to commercial harvest for Red abalone.

Thursday, November 29.

Fish and Game Commission: Abalone Advisory Group Meeting

8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

NOAA - Southwest Fisheries Science Center
8604 La Jolla Shores Dr.
La Jolla, CA

Additional Information: Ian Taniguchi, (562) 342-7182

Get there early to get good parking!
With the recent oil spill in Northern California, perhaps it is worth contemplating the wisdom of allowing one of the few remaining stocks of Red abalone to be harvested.
