well yes I was there for the chilly October meet and here are my thoughts on the occasion...
A chill wind blew o'er Endy Sea but the saltFree still returned They'd court to hold, descents to judge - a lot since they adjourned Three hardy souls from northern realms accustomed to the cold Were welcomed in ( and Longfins too ) thus we'd faces new and old A trio of angels set the plate deep in the coolant green The algae bloom retreated much and enlarged the viewing scene Ice man George sailed deep with style, a lessun to us all His cork-topped tube bobbed far above aside our brilliant ball Once dips were done we warmed our cores with Sam's blackcurrant nectar Whilst more were gathering above the bay within the gusty sector Second dive saw fewer wet, as some had chilly bones Though a medicine man still donned his wings wearing apparel of loans Fifteen hours soon came to be and it was time to set up court To adjust the board, suggest some change - chew the fat about our sport A swarm of flies could not detract from progress in full swing For events to come, new policies, and the changes they would bring The meeting closed and dusk at hand, to The Castle they retired An entire chamber for their own, thirst and appetites expired Discussion turned to pending day, where Mig had lines to draw When turning out they wished him well for his frog kick and his claw On record day all hopes were high and the plate layed down at fifty Not reached until 3 metres up some judgement had been thrifty Tho' not for Mig, he came up trumps, producing hence his double Two entries in the record books without a sign of trouble The tougher few took final turns pleasing Angels down the line Who filled lift bag as just reward for our founder-without-brine The big weekend success had touched, with all descents quite sound Next meet at Yule with ice-picks sharp - perhaps I'll be around |

I like your poems too Barry the Poet ... but I'm in a blackmailing mood and there is something I want that I know you have

My poetic license is my own, and no amount of blackmailing can allow me to release it.
The groundswell of opinion will rise up against you, and swallow you up, should you try to alias my name to another. Barry the Poet is Barry the Poet And he has spoken. |

Hello my name is Deepest Bear
I love saltFree but am not often there Life it seems has been rather busy Since my PA got herself fizzy I've dived with Tanya in the Blue In Canada with Mandy too Then I had to leave my garden when Guillaume took me to meet Bin Laden Tomorrow we go to Aberdeen To discover the AIDA training scene Next week its time for the Dive Show If Sam says I'm allowed to go And then we'll be in Dolphin Tank Playing and adding to Howards bank December the 6th is NDC followed by debauched Party but for now Im back home in the gloom of rainy skies and fireworks boom Awaiting an invite to a sunny land and ready always to lend a hand So let me know when your record's due And I'll jump on a plane and into the Blue! Barry can I be a poet too? Deepest Bear the Poet xx
