"People doing 8 min in comp? I'd like to see that. "- loopy
- Stephan did 8:02 at the French Nationals "I heard that he played it safe because it was a team competition. Unfortunately for the team, his teammate didnt and it really hurt them in the overall standings" - konasandy Scott Cambell did what he had to do to try and help the US team in the comp. If I remember correctly he needed at least a 7:05 to move them up in the standings and they were definately not in the lead or even in a close second....I don't think that saying he played it unsafe is quite fair. It makes his effort sound selfish and self-motivated. |

hi
Karl Pernett all the way, reason being that unlike Martin, Herbet and other high profile athletes Karl is relatively unknown and it would be good to see someone like Karl wipe em all out cheers

I'm for Bevan Dewar.
firstly as a firend. second since i think he is able. maybe not at the record, but for a high score. third: i'de like to see someone who is NOT sponsered at the top. it makes me feel like this sport is still young and exciting. I have no clue what Erez Beatus (israel) is aiming at, so i can't really know if he is in the game. so Karl is my other vote. |

Karl has disqualified himself by not making the announcement cut off. I don't know if they are going to let him compete. As of last night no.
Timmo from Finland has subscibed the longest at 8:00 Bevan is a sleeper so watch out for him. Herbert has done multiple clean 8:10's and an 8:27 that I have witnessed. But don't forget the other 165 men and women who are competing. They are competing to be there own personal world champion. They are the real hero's of this comp and my hat goes off to each and every one of them for coming here and stepping up to the plate and doing the best they can. This is the true spirit of this sport and I love it! So cheer for the others guys! DSV in Cyprus |

My brother (Karl) just writed me. He doesn't speak english very well He thougth that the static inscriptions were all the afternoon, he arrived at 4:00 PM. They let him compete. He made the better time (7'16"), Herbert did 7'15" and Timo 7'20" but he announced 7'20". He is the winner for me, but AIDA said that because of late inscpription he cannot be the winner.
I think that rule is stupid. Vote in this poll: http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthr...threadid=35202
