Question Mares Cyrano 850 vs 700

I need a replacement shaft for an old Mares speargun which matches the Cyrano shaft. I ordered the Cyrano 970 shaft over the internet but when it arrived it's 18 centimeters longer than the original shaft of my gun; it's also a little bit thinner.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the Cyrano 850 and/or the Cyrano 700 shaft so that i can know which one to order.

thank you

Improve it with a mamba kit & fit a 7mm spear.

Re: Mares Cyrano 850 vs 700

I actually need an 8mm shaft. Thanks. The one I need is the Cyrano 850 because it's a little longer than the 690mm 700.
This is great help.

Re: Mares Cyrano 850 vs 700

Hang on guys, Cyrano spearguns unmodified require a 7mm shaft. I am going to attach a file that shows shaft dimensions and lengths with manufacturer part #'s. This should clear the air.

Hope this helps.

Re: Mares Cyrano 850 vs 700

Zach-

Thanks for the file - that's exactly what I was looking for. My gun is called the Sharp Shooter Competition Series - (it doesn't say Sten anywhere on it) I've been looking everywhere for the replacement shaft but I didn't know if the Sten or Cyrano would be the right one. Now I know it's the Sten.

Thanks again.
