Who sells spring stainless steel, heat treated shafts, with shark-fin tabs, at wholesale prices?
Thanks! Last edited by BTSpearfishing; January 10th, 2008 at 19:09. Reason: title not accurate enough |

I thought Ray's shaft had pins rather than fins?

Good point Bill that pearl passed over my tiny. They do have a raised loop though to attach the mono. Are the Riffe or Aimrite shafts spring stainless?

Quote:
Many years ago, Daryl shipped his guns with pinned shafts because that was all that was available to him in Hawaii, and I still have a couple in my boat as spares. I never had a problem while I used them, but I recall a friend who got a Mahi gun with a pinned shaft. He was not exactly a stud, so he put all three bands on the first pin, and it broke off. Then he put all three on the second pin, and it broke off too. I don't think he tried the third pin.

Check that Ray Odor link, and scroll to the bottom of Spear Shafts.

wow thats cool never seen it before, the sharkfin seem like they should be stronger and less likely to catch on anything while handling
