Hello all DB members;
So Just wanted to share some catches from around the year in the territorial water of Qatar (Persian Gulf), as since quite a time, I have been actively free-diving and spearfishing with an average of 2-3dives per week here in Qatar. Some of those fish were taken right from around 50m from shore whereas other pictures are from offshore trips as far as 135km.... Of course I can't claim all the fish featured in those pix as solely my catch, as I also dive with a team, (when I dive as part of a team, its often with DB member "baracuda" and occasionally with other free-divers (stateofqatar, sanadw) and other buddies).... However, 7/10 of my dives are solo (I know ill get big NO NOs) and sometimes as far as 3km from shore (yes, just by swim and without a boat, but thats the sacrifice you gotta do to get good fish and groupers!), and I dive mostly around reefs and rock formations, but I also occasionally get blue-water action where we dive on wrecks and other structures far in the open blue... Throughout the year, I have got to learn (and still learning) about the different fish behavior (according to the season), tide movements, visibility and many factors all favoring or disfavoring the outcome of the dive.... And finally, of course all those fish shown here were taken by free-diving, as I don't scuba ! So I will let you now with the pictures  ...

The last 3 pix (of the dunes and desert) are the fascinating scenery I drive through in order to reach my favorite spot (around 35km of driving through the dune!)... So not only a wonderful experience diving under water, but also driving to the water !
