Problems viewing attachments

I am having problems viewing attachments. Text is clear but when someone posts a picture all i get is a box ( with attachment) written over it and sometimes a dash in the box. if i click on the dash sometimes the picture emerges. Anyone got any ideas as to what is going wrong. This is a new problem as up until a few weeks ago pictures appeared normally. Kev

Also - what operating system and internet browser are you using?
