I think it would be better if the writing was in blue

Re: Lettering

That's funny you should mention that, Adrian. I've just come out with my new invention, the ALISON 5000 Digital Hue Scrambler.

Modeled after how we believe Alison experiences the world around here. I've taken the liberty to display one of my adverts that I put in the back of Modern Science, and Popular Mechanics magazines here in the states.

As for the lettering, Bill, it looks good, but it might be a little sqwunched when viewed from far away.

(yes, I said sqwunched...a mix between squished, squeezed and crunched....patented.Waiting to hear back from Websters).

ANHYOO, Bill, ....you might go with a drop shadow, instead of the black outline with the color you have. Or maybe thinner letters, or thinner black outline. maybe with a little lighter blue?

Maybe I just shouldn't have volunteered to test out the ALISON 5000 prototypes.

I like the name and the lettering style, though....a little Gershwin, anyone?

Re: Lettering

I find the lettering a bit hard to read.

Re: Lettering

I think it would be more readable if you brightened the blue to increase contrast against the shadowing, or

Take off the shadowing?

Re: Lettering

My eyes usually hate these kind of writings but I even managed to read it before openining the image in another window, so it's really ok.
But, thinner letters and a brighter shadow would even improve I think.
I heard rhaphsody in blue about a week ago accidentally, "classical" name for a boat.

Sink, you make my days brighter... and more colourful.

Re: Lettering

I finally got the real thing put on the boat yesterday. I like it.

Now I'll know which boat to swim back to.

Re: Lettering

Congratulations! That looks great. It looks a lot clearer in real life.

When I get back out to sea with my small band of ruthless pirates, I'll know which boat to spare. However, I'll probably tie you to the mast for a night...just to keep up appearances.

I'm sure ruth will feel sorry she won't have seen it.
