Well the links don't work unless you copy paste them. I did this using my phone. I will try to fix it when I get of work tomorrow, sorry.

I'm a new free diver, that's why I'm posting these in the beginner section. I enjoy watching progression videos so I assume there may be some other beginners that do as well. Anyway, this is my first season free diving, I got interested in it over the winter and started practicing dry statics. Over the last few months or so I've gotten to dive a couple springs here in Florida and a lake near my home. Here are a few videos of those dives.

This is my longest hold during a dive. I used the rope the entire dive, no kicking. Ours very relaxing. I'm going to do this again next time out in the lake. I'm site longer holds will follow.

Here are some of my dives through the small cave at blue spring. My brother has the beard, notice he loses his fin on his first time through the cave lol. I found it for him.

Here's me going down almost to the warning sign. I've been told its at 76ft, ive also been told 82ft. I didn't quite make it but you can see it
with the light. I went a little further without the camera but I still didnt touch it. My brother didn't have a good day, he def has more potential.

to Apfire26:

Cool videos, great visibility, great freediving background, nice light and silhouettes.
It's cool to see beginners!

For your next dives, try to really do double slow dives. And don't look at your watch, actually forget about it, lend it to your brother/friend so time and depth are out of your mind. Now you can focus on finding and keeping your relaxation. When you feel like you have no air, stop, hold on to something, turn head up, and consciously relax everything like you would in a static.

You can post your video's on DB using the Youtube share button, and copy the LONG link into your DB post.

to Risk52:

Very nice job, wonderful scenes, good use of near and far objects, light, colour.

It shows a bunch of professional qualities, Very nice job considering the small size and abilities of the camera. The least attractive scene was the slowed down underwater scene were you were waiving the camera around (from 35 sec.) because is displayed a lot of ghosting, the limitation of the camera @ such a high resolution. The wavy grass scene (3'08") was very cool. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the advice Kars. Thats one of the reasons i posted the videos, so i can get all of the help possible. Im really not worried about getting really good quality videos just yet, my main concern is improving my diving. Later on I may try to edit a good video to put up.

Nive video Risk52. I must say that I enjoy watching the dive a little more than the scenery but thats just what I personally prefer. Good job on the editing and I agree with Kars also on the wavy grass scene, that was my favorite part.

Nice videos guys. As a new free diver myself, these are inspiring. I wish I had such clear places to dive. One of the biggest challenges I have is diving into water that turns so dark and murky that overcoming fear of this darkness is a huge hurdle to overcome. Being able to see your goal would make it much easier than just swimming with faith that the goal will appear at some point.

yeah i dove in a very dark lake only one time. we had glow sticks on our rope and by the time we got to only 30ft. you would swim right past the glow sick and not even know it. it was pitch black below 40ft. couldnt even see your hand in front of your face. my gaol that day was 70ft but i couldn't make it past 50. plus we came up smelling horrible. it was such a dirty lake. i will never dive in those conditions again, not just because of fear and disgust but also because of safety reasons. i don't know where you are from..but i enjoy springs the most. its worth every bit of the over 2 hour drive for me. lol. try to find out if there are any in your state.

@apfire26: you call a dive of almost 2 minutes "beginner"?! 8-D
I do only 45-50 seconds when moving underwater... Now, THAT's a beginner! Lol!

Its almost 2 minutes but if you notice, I'm barely moving at all, just pulling myself down the line. I'd like to be much closer to my static holds on a minimum movement dive like that. When I'm steadily swimming my holds aren't much more than 1 minute.
