Freedivers in Boston area (not spearfishers)

Hey, I'm looking for individuals who are into or would like to get into freediving in the Boston/ Cape Anne area for the mere sake of the experience. I'm not necessarily into spearfishing (and its illegal anyway). This summer I've been diving solo off the shore in Magnolia and have access to an 18 ft Whaler out of Manchester-By-The-Sea. Are you still diving? I am going to Boston next year from august 2009 to May/June 2010 and would be very interested to get a buddy for freediving. I started freediving in 2005, so I have some experience, also with deep diving.

Hey Erlend, yeh haven't been doing much diving in the last year and no longer have access to a boat but I live pretty near some great shore dive spots. Drop me a line when you are in town and we can see about getting out on the water. Where are you coming from by the way?

Scott, good to hear from you! I am from Norway and are coming to Boston in order to work on my PhD dissertation at Boston College. I will bring my wife an not yet born little son as well (he is due any time now).

Would you also be interested in some constant weight training? I am into competitive deep diving as well, and will try to qualify for The Worlds in Bahamas November/December 2009. But I also really enjoy recreational freediving.
