Hi all,

I know that to spearfish in Italy you need a buoy and flag, but I could not find anything concerning freediving.

Does someone know? I would stay within max 50m from the coast so no boats.

Thanks,
Gab

Hi Gab,
Do you speak Italian? You might want to ask this question on an Apnea Academy forum, or try to get in touch with one of the Apnea Academy chapters found in most Italian cities. I got a lot of help from the AA community when I was in Trieste a few years ago.
And one more thing: don't go it alone! Dive with a buddy, have fun and be safe.

Hi Raffy,

I do a bit, although not well enough to converse, maybe I will try your idea and ask Google for help :).

I usually go spearfishing so I know those laws, but this time I will go without my gun.

Thanks,
Gabriel

Hi Gab, in Italy every diver (technical diver, freediver or spearfisher) needs a buoy and a flag and have to dive within 50 meters from buoy and flag. Sorry for my bad english. ciao, Roberto

Hi Roberto,

Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to know! Your English is good :).

Ciao,
Gabriel
