Hi all

i have a pair of fibreglass leaderfins that i accidentally left some stuff on causing one of them to crease slightly. this now means that when i kick with this fin it 'pops' like the lid of an opened jam jar on every down stroke. i dont suppose anyone has any tips for sorting this do the? hairdryer? fridge? freezer? or is it a new set of blades???

thanks for any help you can offer

chris

I have no experience with this.... But I'd be worried about a weak spot and having it fail / break.

This could be very "exciting" on a deep dive.

Be careful / stay safe.

Hi Chris is there an actual crack in the blade?

I broke a fin on my last dive.

It wasn't fun at all. In fact it was very scary. It was a long swim over to the rocks, a lucky exit in the swell, followed by a long climb back along the cliffs, and all my own fault for not replacing my shitty old fins.

Be careful.

How about trying the same process you used to bend the blade, i.e. lay it down flat and leave a little weight on it (perhaps apply a little warmth too)?
