Has anyone dived Riau Islands South of Batam near Singapore. Have heard that compared to Singapore waters has significantly better vis but not sure whether to believe this or not. If so then makes a great w/e as minimal travel time and good and well priced hotels but otherwise would prefer to sit out the journey to Tioman/Aur etc.

Have note ever heard about diving here - no divers I know in Asia have ever mentioned the diving in Singapore - probably rates up there with Hong Kong
