Hi guys
just a small contribution. Catalonia is a large province in north-east Spain, bordering France and Andorra. On the coastline in the Bay of Roses, there are various wreck and a lot of cave diving. Just 30 minutes boat ride off the coast (leave from L'Estartit or L'Escala) there are the Medes islands, which are 3 small islands, and the waters around there can be pristine. There are a lot of red and blue soft corals at 30m and plenty of large swim throughs at the that depth. You will see 300lb groupers, the occasional eagle ray, plenty of moray eels, lobster, and conger eels. Although the Mediterrean is not known for its abundance in beautiful fish, the dive sites have very interesting topography and they have some great wrecks around the jagged coastline. and the surrounding terraces beachfront have a great selection of post dive tapas bars...
