Diver dies on South Coast
A woman died yesterday after diving at Aliwal Shoal near Umkomaas on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast, paramedics said. Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the woman, who had been diving near Aliwal Shoal, had indicated to her diving instructor that she was not feeling well. The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was brought to the surface by the instructor. Moments after climbing into the boat she collapsed. She was rushed to shore, where waiting paramedics tried in vain to help her. - Sapa
