Has anyone been diving in these spots? I'm trying to decide between the two spots for a dive trip and looking for some recommendations.

Been to both , but only stayed on the mainland (Belize City) when we were evacuated from Ambergris Caye due to Hurricane Emily. Been to Roatan twice. Better coral on Roatan & more small fish & variety of marine life. Belize has more sharks, rays & larger pelagic life, but lower visibility & more grasses & sandy bottoms. Depends on what you like.
