Where should the spear guide be on the gun?

Hi,

I have a Spetton Sportline 90 & there is an adjustable spear guide on the gund shaft that you can move.

The plastic bits that connect the rubber to the metal wishbone are a bit chipped & so is the guide.

I currently have it in the middle, is that right?

Cheers HSF

Re: Where should the spear guide be on the gun?

I have experienced a similar problem with my OMER 100 , it doesnt matter where i put it , the wishbone always smacked it and it slid towards the muzzle. Gave up in the end and bought an OMER stick on rail. Solved the problem and improved my gun's performance!
You would need to find one to fit your gun and shaft size though.
Good Luck

Cheers Heds,

The guide is fixed ok as it has a grub screw.

Where would I look for the stick on rail to fit?

Thanks HSF

Re: Where should the spear guide be on the gun?

Mine had a grub as well , but the bands......still used to move it along!

Your spetton probably has 28 or 30mm diam barrell [double check with a vernier! i could be wrong!]

Check this shaftguide out , its the one i used .. there are three or four others on this website , so make sure you get the best match for your gun - a self adhesive one is mutch less hassle methinks.

There might be someone in, or closer to the uk to supply them - but i dont know of any off top of head.

Also the Omer site has a Video in the 'Video Section' showing you a clever way of fitting it spot on [once it there it wont be coming off in a hurry!]
Follow the procedure and you wont go wrong! Here it is.
Omer

Hope it helps mate
