Anyone speared in Aberystwyth?

Hey all,

I'm enjoying my first season spearfishing....a nice bass and some large mullet all to my name!

Anyway enough glouting....I spend a few weekends in Aber going out til the wee hours in the morning fly fishing for the sea trout most summers. After getting up in the morning??!? I tend to head down to the beach to go crabbing in the harbour or rock pooling - i know childish but still very fun!

Anyways i'm there bank hol weekend and wondering if it will be worth taking my gun? If so is north or south beach the best bet? or even head around the north coast to clarach?

Any advise, previous experiences much appreciated.

Cheers
Nick
