Hello, I´m freediver from the Czech Republic. I have already tried Omer suits, Beuchat and Cressi suits, I know Agama, Picasso or Elios suits, but I this is the first time I saw "DiveSkin" suit. (Diveskin - Neoprene Creations)
They make very cheap suits from the best heiva material... also custom made suits. It loooks great, but has anybody tried these suits? What is the quality? I need suit with long durabily for long lifetime... so I need some advice from freedivers who has this suits. Thank you very much. Shark |

Enter DiveSkin, Oceanos, or Spiros into the search box above and you'll get dozens of threads discussing this topic in details. However, I am afraid that a durable long-life wetsuit is an oxymoron, and I do not mean specifically DiveSkin, but any wetsuit in general.

shark - I was looking into those for a friend that might be looking for a suit- The problem I saw in looking into diveskin suits is: 1- I need a 5mm suit that is warm, so it should be "open cell" they don't make 5mm in open cell. they only make open cell suits in 3mm which is good down to about 45 degrees or so. So, If you mainly dive in warmer/cool water you might be fine with their 3mm open cell. Other than that, They look like decent enough suits. I'm still going to only buy Elios for myself. But That is my personal preference.

Hi Shark sorry to tell you but cheap suits and the best materials do not usually go together (the best materials are relatively expensive and you cannot get a cheap suit made using expensive materials) Also you can usually get a suit from the best quality neopren (elasticity - comfort - cold protection - minimal buyancy change - or a neopren which is very durable and you can keep for a long time (that is not that comfortable - has substantial buyancy changes etc.). Thats like comparing a classic scuba suit and an elios smooth skin open cell suit... the scuba suit will not feel that great but you can keep it forever ... the freediving suit will feel great but after a season or two you will need to change it. I wish you luck in your search Cheers Stavros

Yeah, I also got two my suits from Diveskin (one 3mm opencell inside and 7mm nylon both sides for scuba).
Both suits are great and I'm happy that I bought them. The truth is that for Czech waters I would buy 5mm but I wanted suit for warm sea dives so I chose 3mm. Anyway - I can recommend Diveskin.

Just got my diveskin, the thing fits perfectly(I'm tall and thin/athletic so normal sizes never work), and the build is fantastic for the price. I'd highly recommend them. It was shipped quickly as well.

Thank you... so many answers. I´m going with DiveSkin... I already decided, thanks to you.
To Sheepeck: I live in the Czech Republic, but I don´t dive here.. I´m traveling to the Croatia in Spring, Summer and autumn and in the winter I prefer Red Sea (Egypt). During the year I practice freediving training at pool )) I already use a few open cell suits, but If DiveSkin suits will be so good, maybe I would use them instead my olders. Thanks |

Well, not as good as salty waters, but still - me and my friends like to dive more often than few times a year so we dive in various lakes and flooded mines quite frequently.
I'm living in Chomutov so mostly we dive at Barbora (close to Teplice). Visibility is fine, but temperature is not. I think - if you already dove with open cell suits, then maybe you won't be so happy with diveskin as I was - because for me it is first opencell so I'm super stoked. Anyway, I do think their wetsuits are good.

I also have a diveskin 5mm - very well made and a perfect fit...
I cant comment on durability [only had it a season] but it has a long lasting look For the price - you just cant go wrong , serious value for money.
