Elios Freedown or Black Shadow ?

Hi,

I would like buy new wetsuit and I don't know what is better. I have two favourites from Elios:

1. New Freedown 5mm
+ for Freedown more slipery
+ easy dressing
- less durability
- easy tear

2. New Black Shadow 5mm
+ more durability
- maybe less sliding

I will use for training deep divings in water 7°-24°C.

Black shadow made in two inner version open cell and smooth, what is better for thermal insulation and dressing? Thanks for your help.

I have the black shadow smooth. The pants go on fine dry, no lube. The top needs to be wet or lubed. No experiance with true open cell, but the seal on the smooth coating is about as good as it could possibly be, doesn't seem to be any seepage at all.

I really wanted to go with the Elios but WOW the dollar has taken a big hit, not such a good price anymore. Maybe next summer after lots of saving.
