I have a sporasub 7mil right now that is good but I am considering buying a second suit and I am wondering if anyone that has tried a few more suits than me can give some reccomendation for a very warm 7mil....I have heard Picasso Ghost is a warm suit. Does anyone know of a warmer one? Thank you,

I use a 5mil Elios and dive in 30 degee (F) 0 Degree (C) - and my body is fine- it's my toes that gets cold - but not until a few hours.

If you wear one all the time, Marwan, you don't notice the restriction. The buoyancy change when you dive is the biggest hassle.

Ask Elios to make you up some open cell socks with an outer seal to tuck under your suit bottoms. It worked for another member from Norway

bifins footpockets are cut at the toes to give a way out for water. If they fill in with water there'll be smaller room for the feet and that'll hurt.
Bit of history: first open toe bifin was the Cressi Rondine in the late 40's, designed by Luigi Ferraro. Our modern rubbers give a better seal so water leaking has become a smaller problem, but go figure in the 40's, with that extra-hard tyre rubber that was the only one available.....

Hmm still wondering if im gonna try sealing the opening on my omers
Thanx for the history lessen thoe God call Pastor, but wouldnt I get the same effect just by turning my socks inside out,so that the opencell will be on the outside and get a waterlock against my suit. Or just buy a pair of omers, they make that kind of socks, whit opencell on the outside, anyway I have tried turning them inside out- and I still freeze Irritating getting out of the water after 30 minutes, just becouse of my toes are freezing, when the rest of the body is just fine.

I got my Elios suit last April - the "econo" line - Open cell- We're probably diving Lake Michigan on New Years Day- should be in mid 30's I would think (heat Wave) The coldest I've been in so far was 29 degrees and was still fine on the body. Getting out on the other had is a different story- 8 degrees (f) air temp - does not help things.

We have touched on this subject before - some people dont feel the cold like others & some people carry their own insulation!
