I'm struggling here.

I've been trying to increase my breath old for about 6 weeks now and I don't seem to be getting far.

My original breath hold was 45 seconds and at one stage I could hold it for 1:30 but I seem to have regressed back to 1:15.

In terms of training, I have been doing the apnea tables 2-3 times a week and I swim twice a week where I see how far I can swim underwater at the beginning. I've managed to increase this fron 15m to 35m.

Any Ideas on how I can get past this rut.

I'm keen to get in the ocean and start spear fishing!

Cheers
Dan

The first thing you need to do is get a buddy to safety you while training. the next thing you need to do is enrole in a freediving course. There you will be shown how your mamilian dive reflex works. You should be taken through the various stages of breath hold. and shown the safety drills needed.
Most of the people doing the course i run with Mud Wiggle go over 3min once shown how to hole there breath.
So short answer is find some one localy to teach you how then take your training from there.
