I found this site [ame="http://cavycages.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12957"]http://cavycages.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12957[/ame] it was first for a diet for my guinea pig (I didnt know what to feed him at all :D) but then I saw this thread. I guess this sounds really hippie-ish, and I'm sorry for that, but SAVE THE WHALES! *I never thought i would be saying that with a straight face* It says that the Gorton fish company is planng to kill a thousand whales, some endangered, and sell them as food claiming its reaserch.:rcard Im not sure who is exaggerating and how much, but it is still 1k whales. The reason I'm posting this is because, I want to accualy SEE these whales sometime in my life. Can i get a second opinion?

P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong place, it didnt really fit anywhere ealse

That's an excellent example of the unreliability of the net. Who says Gorton is going to kill a thousand whales and why should you believe them? Any footnotes or backup references to show that the reporter knows wtf he/she is talking about? Is a guinea-pig website a good place to find news of the state of the world's cetaceans? C'mon, a little more critical thinking, here!

I did. Again, why should anyone believe this guy? He hasn't even named the "parent company" of Gorton's. He's trying to tell us that some Japanese whaling company has bought an American fish packing company with no evidence just so he can get Green Peace onto a thread. Unimpressive. BTW, so is the justification for the Japanese "research". At least the Norwegians are up front and honest about it.
