Hi all,

Am trying to find somewhere or someone that has 16mm rubber so i can make 2 new bands for my gun.
Any ideas??

Pete

There is a guy in the USA selling bulk rubber, dyneema (diameters suitable for grooved as well as shark fin spears) and pre-tied bulk rubber loops with dyneema wishbones on ebay (select Worldwide option when searching). [Will post a URL later when I next take a look.]

Spaghetti, those prices in the DeeperBlue shop look really good but the shipping charges (from Spain?) are really high so it sort of evens out. Why don't they offer regular mail as an option? Are the shipping charges high to Italy too?

I must say that the prices at the Deeperblue shop are really nice prices, and it's shipping fares are high, indeed, but not much higher than the average for international parcels.
However, to answer your question Mr. X, I am an italian who lives in Italy, which has advantages and disadvantages: the advantage is that italian products in Italy are cheaper than anywhere else, obviously, so that I can buy Cressi, Seatec, Omer, Technisub, C4, Sporasub, Mares, Seac Sub, Effesub, Elios, Polosub, Totem et cetera et cetera directly here in Italy at low prices and low shipping charge. :)

I shipped my old ice climbing boots to Italy a few months ago. The price quoted by the Royal/Parcel mail was unusually high (compared to shipping to the USA or France). However, I found a small company that specialize in eBay auction shipping that did it for £10 less than Parcel Force, and the parcel was handled entirely by DHL, including pick up from my home. Excellent. I reckon Parcel force were probably using DHL too and just marking up the price £10 & removing the home pick up benefit!

Here is the URL as promised:
eBay UK Shop - Spearit-Company: 1 2 13mm w S.Steel wishbones, SHOCKCORDS LINE, 9 16 14mm w S.Steel wishbone

Good for a few hard to find items. BTW They sell 14 & 15mm bulk rubber as well as 16 & 18mm. The "black over amber" sounds like my RA 20mm band.

Pre-made bands & dyneema (thick & thin) & wishbone beads, crimps, etc. too.
