Firstly I was fascinated by freediving from the first time I viewed an example dive on TV. The sport struck me as super-seductive, very difficult to perform properly, worth all the work, yet always less than a millimeter away from one's own death at any point in a dive prior to resurfacing and taking a new breath of air. The involvement with mortality is completely intrinsic to every part of this activity. And it seems maximally unforgiving of negligence or sloppiness, yet, in no way will complete mastery distance one from the ever-close proximity of death that is not the fault of the practitioner. My gosh how seductive this would become! Imagine how thoroughly torn apart being in love with a freediver would be! If it was me I think it would spit me out into 1000 fragments even if nothing untowards ever took place!
Anyways whether or not I ever try it you can see what attracted me here. I wish everybody a continued totally full life (lol as if you people were not living this way already
