Hi all.

I had finally decided to add another band to my seac 75. Massive mistake. Everytime I loaded th 2 bands the mechanism released automatically.
Am I doing something wrong and has this happened to anyone?

Newbie here.

Simply overpowering the guns trigger mechanism!
Not many folk fit twin bands on Euro guns, why would you want to do this anyway?

Thanks for the reply.
I thought so. Just wanted to add some more power to the gun thats all.
My bad.

You add power, by getting a longer gun. Adding a second band would have hurt the performance even if it were able to handle it. Consider shortening your band a little bitt...but from the sounds of it, you have outgrown that tiny little gun, time to upgrade to something much better. Rob Allen or Pathos

Thinking bout it... tnx

a rob allen 90cm gun will be your favorite gun in the whole wide world....

Really? I used to use one and it isn't my favourite speargun - although it certainly has many commendable features it is far from perfect. Visibility normally governs the appropriate length of speargun. I wouldn't consider getting a longer gun as necessarily "an upgrade".

Toro7681, I suggest that you add your location (e.g. country & perhaps coast) to your profile so that other members can tailor their advice accordingly ;)

Coming from an underpowered seac 75 then yes it will quickly become his favorite gun. The difference will be night and day. And depending on how seac measures their guns, it might not be much longer at all... Especially since that thing cant hold more then one band. Hell get a thicker shaft and the ability to hold that second band hes been looking.

:) Yes, quite possibly in that particular circumstance, as opposed to "in the whole wide world". I prefer my light, slim Omer XXV 90 for UK bass & mullet. But I do like much about the RA90 and for bigger fish it may be more appropriate.

i have an Omer Excalibur in a 115 and do like how light and slim it is, the screw in muzzles are fantastic. I used a 7mm Rob Allen shaft because the stock shaft was a bit dinky from what i recall, but the roller trigger mechanism that comes with it is buttery smooth and was very well thought out as well. I lost a few parts to it, and instead retrofitted a Rob Allen Vecta 2 mech to it to get the gun shooting agian. I was going to actually thinking about cutting it down to a 90 to for a sleek hole/dirty vis gun just last night.

For a self proclaimed newbie to even a long time shooter, a RA is always a good choice. Pathos is as well, both can be picked up used for pretty cheap.

Toro, be sure to post up any ideas or questions you come up with, and also your final results. Good luck
