Here are a couple more guns I have recently finished... well almost. Still need to add a loading pad and do some balancing and ballasting. Hope you enjoy.

First gun is the finished 57" cali special, the band pull is about the equivelant of a 120, it has 3 5/8 bands with a 5/16" threaded shaft that will have a Mori slip tip. Enclosed track with a graphite front end, kind of a hybrid track. Neptonics Tuna trigger, SS handle frame, and components.

Second gun is for my brother in law who will be using it in Guam. It is an enclosed track 120cm rear handle euro style gun. Also features the hybrid graphite front track. This gun will be powered by 2 5/8 or 3 9/16 bands with a 9/32 tahitian flopper. Neptonics reef trigger mech (had the option of the resetting line release but I decided not to use it) with a black anodized handle frame. the actual stocks for the handle will be black but I threw these on for the pictures. You can see the cuttle bone shape in the cross section in one of the pictures.

One thing I will say about the resetting line release on the Neptonics reef trigger is that you dont really have much options with the profile of your gun. I like to thin my guns out to make swinging them easier but with this trigger feature the line release sits way too far below the trigger mech forcing a taller profile. I opted for the standard release.

I really like the cross section shape and rubber ramp shape at the front, nice job buddy.

I like the grain & the off cut shows a really good representation of the guns build quality & construction method.

Yeah this teak was, for the most part, pretty boring. There was one area that had an almost spalted look to it so I put those laminates on the outsides near the handle. The pictures dont do it a whole lot of justice but the wood does have some very pretty grain patterns.

nice. how slim are they? i got a self reset onto a 1 5/8" tall gun. but i didnt have room to recess the handle frame, like yours, if i had,i would have had to make the gun a minimum of 1 -13/16" tall. there is one option, but i havent done it yet, ": make a rod actuated bottom mount line relesase. actuated by the lever. then you can still get one in a slim gun. i'lltell you what, i wont make a single gun WITHOUT a self reset unless someone specifically asks for it. i have gotten more complaints about that, than everything or anything else combined. self reset rules! personally, all my own guns but 1 have non self resets, but all my new ones got them. josh will make you a tuna trigger with self reset too, if you ask, (i did) i dont know, but,it makes the gun foolproof,(and most people are fools unfortunately) one good part is that you pin it from the bottom and the handle frame covers up the pin, and you use the second hole in the line release blade, according to josh its much stronger that way,(using the second hole , farthest from mech). i put one on my 2 shot gun, and i LOVE it! seriously., its worth the dilemna. one question: where are you getting that beautiful 1/4sawn teak? i could really use some, hook a brother up,(pm me)
