Dear Deeper Blue,

OK, its been a cold late summer so we waited for a good forecast for the palooza so hope it works for some of you to come. Next weekend should be excellent at Lost Lake, 80's F and sunny all weekend.

Depending on the level of interest we may get a group campsite or let people get there own. We may also have some folks stay at our house or new guest house next door which are about 45 minutes from Lost Lake. E-mail me directly if you are interested to stay at the house to wes"at"gorge.net or post here for logistics questions. The guest house is only available for Saturday night so would work for people coming Saturday morning.

This will be the second annual Oregon Freedive Palooza.

Evening: Potluck dinner and campfire

Saturday:

Have fun all day. There are hikes and trails as well as awesome diving. We will have some lines set up, bring your own safety or buddy up at the campground.

Sunday:
First thing early morning diving.
Sunday Potluck Brunch
Afternoon: Naps, packing up, more diving?

Registration:
We aren't running a contest or organizing a group event or anything like that, just letting you know a bunch of freedivers will probably be at Lost Lake on this weekend. We assume no liability for anything at all (even this message).
So there is no registration, no fees, no organizers.

Safety:
Bring your own safety or be prepared to buddy up with others attending, and please always be prepared to help out others. We want this to be a very very very safe weekend.

If you have questions or want to let people know you are coming please post below and include where your location is.

Cheers Wes Lapp

I am now twisting arms to get Saturday off work. I will be there. I am in Newberg, SE of Portland. I can pick someone up at the airport if they need it, or want to carpool.

Thanks for taking the lead on this again Wes.

I am so jealous I can't be at one of these this year! Sounds like a great time with great people from the DB. Hopefully I will Freeze-a-Palooza or make it next summer!

On the bright side, I head to Cancun on Saturday for some diving.

Hope everyone has a great time, and be SAFE!

-John

Hey,

Welcome to Oregon!! We have a Yahoo group for Oregon Freediving and spearfishing that has a handful of members.

Its Losprofundos and I think you can go to Yahoo and request to send a message or join.
