I was wondering if anyone ever cut's a small hole in the bottom of there booties so the water can drain/flow out of them while diving instead of filling the bootie, this way the bootie doesn't fill up and get somewhat heavy. My booties fill up even though they have a good seal and they are under my wetsuit leg portion which is natural that they would, but, was curious if anyone ever decided to place a small hole in the bottom of the bootie to alleviate this?

I've used a 2-3 cm slit in the toe for years. Gets rid of the air bubbles too. Cut the slit clean and it is easy to seal back up for any reason. Slits work better for ears too. IMHO.

Were abouts in the toe Bill? is it under the big toe or the tip? Mahalo.

I've tried the heel, the centre tip of the booty and ended up with the tip, between the big toe and the next one because cold water couldn't get in. Center of the tip works great now in Hawaiin water.
