40ft float line

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.

i just made a 40ft float line out of some vinyl tubing and some poly braided rope. do you guys think this will be long enough to take on some yellow tails in southern california?

Sure, many YT are taken by divers that don't dive deeper than 30 feet. Did you seal the ends well ? What gun and float are you going to use?

yeah each end is sealed great, I glued each end in(even though they were already water proof) then heat shrink wrapped each end. I'm going to be using a boat fender as a float, but its a fairly large boat fender. As for the gun im going to be using a jbl 51" sawed off mag.
