The information I am posting is 100% hoax, especially because it comes from Pravda quite known for regularly spreading such BS. I found this article when looking for more information about "USSR underwater swimming champion Rem Stukalov" and the Soviet film The Amphibian Man that I posted about in [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?p=590952#post590952"]another thread here[/ame]. I decided to post this information from Pravda just for amusement than anything else
The article claims that a Philippine fisherman Pakino from the Luson island is capable of dives lasting more than 60 minutes. There are some other speculations, but you best read it yourself - just be warned - although there may be some true and well known facts included, this case is 100% BS. For example they claim Pakino repeated the attempt in front of invited reporters and that sensational publications appeared all over the world, but still the only reference to Pakino found on the web comes from Pravda (or are copies of the Pravda article)
