i recently Got a hammerhead proteus for free and was wondering how to increase range and power, yes i need to get bigger bands but what set up do you recommend 2 9/16 or 2 5/8 bands? its a 75cm and im not planning to buy a new gun.

to increase power you have to increase the distance between axis of holes for rubber and the last fin/hole for wishbone of shaft.

Possible setup:
-you can do as you know new band with big diameter , maybe not necesary longer. You can take a 3.2 -3.5 ratio between the maximum elongation and the size of elastic "relaxed". You can measure youself the sizes finale of your band.
- change or modify the shaft to have the fin of shaft (or the small hole for wishbone )who keep the elastic elongated very close to the trigger mechanism. Some people cut the end of shaft and make new hole to fit into the trigger mechanism.
- take a look of: Potenziatore - 2^ parte
- make as short as you can the wishbones sistem
- use the strong bands instead of regular ones
- the diameter of shaft have to be small to increase range (I have only 6 cm to my 75 ) . Take care of that diameter because probably you can not hunt succesfuly the big fish because the cinetic energy transmited by a lighter shaft is low. Also the bending of can be a risk. For mediterana where I fish is ok because big fish are very rarely.
