Freediving Friends,

In four weeks time, the 4th AIDA World Freediving Championships will be hosted in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. The outside temperatures are in the mid to high 20's (Celsius) with surface water exceeding 19 Celsius. Visibility at 30m is 15m+ and it's calm, warm, sunny and turning into some of the best conditions as we get closer to our warmest time of the year.

Currently 11 countries spanning 19 teams and 4 independent athletes are confirmed attending. These countries include;Canada, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States and Venezuela. A total of 85 athletes and coaches along with many friends, sponsors, media, volunteers and spectators will make this one of the most memorable World Championship competitions to date.

We've recently posted a promotional video of the World Championships at http://www.perrygladstone.com/Worlds_trailer.mov and have now posted another video clip of your host association to this competition for viewing at http://www.freedivecanada.com/vidlinks.html.

If you're interested in the countries attending and those team members within, please go http://www.aidaworlds2004.com/cgi-bin/teams.pl and click on the country flag to see those athletes in attendance. Some already have their pictures and personal profile information uploaded to the site.

Our commitment to these World Championships is to provide the best training and competition conditions and organization for those athletes in attendance. For you, the viewer back home computer bound, watch our Worlds website for near-live (refreshed every couple minutes) updates of results as each competitor or groups of competitors complete their performance. Not only will you be able to see the results, but you'll also be able to see personal profile information including pictures.

We're excited to be partnered with many industry leaders in the underwater world including Amphibico Inc and Nuytco Research Ltd. These two partners including those media technocrats from Deeperblue.net will provide unprecedented coverage and interconnectivity. Although the results will be live, you'll have to wait a half day before you can see a video snapshot of the previous days events by streaming video. You can't all be here in person, but we'll surely do our best to bring you as close to the action and in as timely a fashion as possible.

So, sit back, set your browser for www.aidaworlds2004.com and let us, bring the World Championships to you.

Sincerely,
