A basking shark was caught in Greece

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
There are no photos in the article posted... but what a damn shame
 
There was a photo on boatingfishing.gr, it was indeed a young basking shark. That site has more shark-catches as news. Some are a genuine shit-happened bycatch accident, others include a fisherman with an ear-to-ear grin on the photo. I like this country and its people very much, but when it comes to how animals are treated they still have a long way to go.
