Hello from Brittany
Nice to read you !!

i'm french,i live in brittany near Brest and i'm preparing a travel in ireland with 22 other people.

we'll be in ireland in may 2012, with 13 other submarine hunters.

We"ll reside between Galway and Clifden (we don't know exactly were at the moment.)Spiddal, Inverin, ...

I post here to search for many information on the coast
-where can we find boats (rental, semisub)
-what is the law for spearfishing (species, dimensions, restricted areas...)

- and of course, where could we find good pubs, with music :friday

thanks for this blog.
ans sorry for my english.... i'm French !! :D

Guinness is good for you !!! this is my favorit expression !!

thanks.

Phil.

Welcome in from Australia!!

And never mind your English, it seems fine! You've done very well.

Welcome to the forum, we have plenty of active Irish folk around here.

Look here eloun http://forums.deeperblue.com/ireland/89481-ireland-spearing-2011-a-59.html#post851382. Two bass per person per day and size restrictions apply for lobster and scallops. Gas powered guns require a licence here in Ireland. Banded guns are ok afaik. Have a look through previous threads for more info.

Also as your coming in May... you cannot hunt bass from the 15 of may to the 15th of June... if you can alter your plans around this as bass hunting in ireland is exceptional!

thank's very much for your welcome
thanks for you PM
i'll try to find here all the things i need to prepare our travel to ireland

Best regards
Phil.

that's it, our project comes to the end, we prepare the suitcases and
in one week we will be 20 people in Connemara, in Carraroe.

we all look forward to it, and we all hope to spend a great time in ireland,
hope that the sea is calm and full of fish.
for pub nights, no problem, we have singers and musicians!

Phil
