A cool way to dive with the whales

This has to be one of the most unusual freediving stories I've ever seen:

I've never had a chance to be in the water with belugas, only seen them from topside, but if I go in the water with 'em, they're just going to have to put up with my neoprene.

Didn't Avseenko set a record or two in her day?

I'm rather concerned that she was doing this to help the whales acclimatise to what appears to be an outdoor prison, but I'll be interested to hear others' opinions.



Oh, and for all you Mail haters over there in the UK- putdowns and snobby comments about what a tosser rag the Daily Mail is will roll off my back. I have no shame :wave I'll say it loud & proud: I read the Mail- and slumming it feels great!

Thats pretty full on. Wouldn't removing her gloves please them due to touch? Oh right, no PR in bare hands
