How should my breatheups be for certain situations. right now I feel like I do the same for everything and I don't even know if its right. how should the inhale be? how should the exhale be, really slow and 100% emptying of the lungs or what? should i exhale till my lungs sort of "stop" and they are totally empty, or exhale not really slow but longer than the inhale. I don't know describe it to me. If i exhale to quickly it starts to feel sort of hypreventalish which i know is bad.

Should I vary my breathing up for certain situations. let me tell you my usual apnea situations.
1. walking to class 1 min apnea 1 min breathing for about 15 min
2. pool, usually 130-1:45 dynamic apneas with 3 min or breathing (rest) inbetween.
3. statics
4. spearfishing: varies greatly

how should I breathe-up or prepare for these.

You can ask freedivers how they prepare for those kinds of things but I think nobody will take the challenge to tell you "this is the way you should prepare" because everyone has a different approach to warm-ups and breathe-ups, eric fattah has posted his warm ups in various ocations and many others have too. I once had a spearfishing instructor from when I took a spearfishing course tell me that I had to hold my breath for 15 seconds before taking the final inhale before a freedive and I never liked that.

Yup, it's all pretty subjective.
For no.1 my advice is no breath-up at all. Assuming you are working on your CO2 tolerance with apnea walking, starting the walk with more CO2 is more productive, so I think (it worked for Bevan).

I don't do 2-4, sorry. :)
