Awesome!!

What's the diving like out there? Your in Goa or Kerela right?

Some of these fish caught in north Goa some caught in the next state north Maharashtra, the diving is not great. One an excellent day visibility is 3-4 metres. I'm over the moon if visibility is 2 metres! Sometimes the spearfishing can be awesome, it is not a very common sport here and there are places where there are some very special fish.

Regards, David

That's what I imagined it would be like, I have looked at tourist pictures and it always looks a bit cloudy. We went to India last year but didn't get anywhere near the coast. I wouldn't mind trying to get down to Goa sometime, what would be the best time for spearing and what sort gun do you think would be good?

There isnt really any time thats guaranteed to be good! If the winds are from the south the water clears a little, but this can happen anytime. The monsoon is to be avoided June-September! Ive seen many marketing photos that show goan beaches with very clear water, this is Indian imagination or artfullness with photoshop , because the water is never clear. A small pneumatic is the way to go, Seacsub Asso 65 or similar.

Good luck
