About the foot pocket installation (V3 carbon blades)

I just bought a pair of V3 carbon fins yesterday

and the owner inserted the carbon blades into the the foot pockets like this

I am wondering it is the right way to insert the foot pocket like the picture below?

Alchemy has confirmed it is wrong to insert like this...

Hi there I’ve just bought some used carbon fins. There’s a few gaps between the blade and the foot pocket is this ok or do they need re-gluing any help would be appreciated.
